Letramento in its social dimension is not a solely or essentially personal attribute, but it is above all one practical social one, being joint of reading ability and the writing. … the hypothesis is that to learn to read and to write e, beyond of this, to make use of the reading and the writing transforms the individual, takes the individual to another state or condition under some aspects: social, cultural, cognitivo, linguistic, among others (Magda Soares, 2006, P. 38) 2.1 IT DIFFERENTIATES IT BETWEEN LETRAMENTO AND ALFABETIZAO Letramento is the social use of the reading and the constant writing in the formation of the operating and integracionista citizen. Letrar means to place the child in the world scholar, working with the distinct ones, the described use of the society. This inclusion starts very before of the alfabetizao, when the child starts to interact socially with practical of letramento its social world. The letramento is cultural, many children already goes for school with the reached knowledge in absorbed informal way in the daily one.

When knowing the importance of the letramento we leave to exercise the automatic and repetitive learning, the alfabetizao must be developed in a letramento context as beginning of the learning of the writing, as development of ability of use of the practical reading and the writing in the social ones that involve the written language, understanding that the alfabetizao and letramento must be different metodolgico treatment and with this to reach the success of education learning of the written, said and contextualizada language in our schools. … Descrever the ability of the falante, is to define the ability as innate capacity that the individual has to produce, to understand and to recognize the structure of all the phrases of its language.
